Transforming Present Grid to the Future

It was a one day technical seminar arranged in collaboration with partners from industry. This seminar included learning activities and valuable insights of industrial practices in field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The area focused on Digital Twin-Redefining Power System O & M, Grid Construction-Procedure & Practices, Advanced Power System Control and Protection, Start-up and Loading of Turbine-Generator Set, HVDC Transmission Systems, Energy Situation in Pakistan and Asset Integrity management.

Power System in 3D

It was a tremendous workshop arranged by IEEE PES NEDUET to exposure to the practical world of power systems, high voltage protection systems and site hazards. The points that were broadly discussed were What is power industry, Engineers and Equipment in a Power Industry, Difference between theoretical and practical world of Power System protection, Advance Relaying methods, World of Testing and Site Hazards. The instructor was Muhammad Zakir Shaikh who is currently working as a Protection Engineer in Transmission sector of K-electric.
